[07-06-2023] Butte County, CA – Two-Vehicle Collision in Chico Injured One Woman, Sent Four Children to Hospital

A woman was injured while four children were sent to the hospital for possible injuries after a two-vehicle collision in Chico on Thursday night, July 6, 2023.

The Chico Police Department responded to the accident around 10:05 p.m. at Jack’s Family Restaurant at 540 Main Street.

It was reported that an Acura was driving west on 6th Street when it ran a red light. While this was occurring, a minivan was driving north on Esplanade. As a result, the Acura was pushed into the restaurant after colliding with the minivan.

The woman in the Acura suffered a minor head injury, and the child was taken to the hospital as a precaution. Three children inside the minivan were also taken to the hospital for precautionary measures.

The authorities did not provide any information about the identities of the people involved.

The investigation into the crash continues.
