[07-08-2023] At Least One Person Killed Following Multi-Vehicle Crash Along Katella AvenueAt least one person was killed following a multi-vehicle crash in Orange City on Saturday evening, July 8, 2023.

Officers and fire department paramedics arrived at the intersection of Katella Avenue and North Shaffer Street shortly before 8:30 p.m. due to a collision involving three vehicles, according to the Orange City Police Department.

Authorities reported upon arrival finding at least one sedan, a pickup truck, and an SUV with significant damage. Officials said the SUV crashed into a parking lot on the south side of the street, killing one occupant.

The authorities are yet to disclose any additional information on the crash or the number of possible victims. It is uncertain whether drugs or alcohol were involved.
