[07-09-2023] San Francisco County, CA – 1 Man Killed Following Hit-And-Run Collision on South Van Ness Avenue

A man, likely a pedestrian, was killed after a hit-and-run collision in San Francisco on Sunday morning, July 9, 2023.

According to the San Francisco Police Department, the incident occurred outside Whiz Burgers on 18th Street and South Van Ness Avenue at around 2:41 a.m.

Officers found the man lying in the street. It has been determined that the man was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene. It is unclear what events led to the collision pending investigation.
