The Los Angeles Police Department and Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the accident on the 3500 block of East 8th Street near South Spence Street before 12:30 a.m.

Four people were injured when the dark-colored vehicle crashed into three parked cars. All the victims were still inside the vehicle when the rescuers came, and they were transported to a local hospital, sustaining various injuries. There has been no disclosure of the identities of those involved in the accident.

The suspect’s car was involved in a canceled short pursuit. The vehicle reportedly fled from officers attempting a traffic stop. It is a felony to evade a traffic stop, so the driver was eventually arrested.
