At least one person was injured after an apartment building fire in Hollywood, Los Angeles, late Wednesday afternoon, July 12, 2023.
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the incident happened around 5:20 p.m. in the 7700 block of Hollywood Boulevard near Ogden Drive.
The firefighters found a two-story garden-style apartment building on fire. Reports say that it originated inside a carport where two vehicles were burning. Its flames made its way to the building’s attic.
A woman was rescued from the building’s second floor. The victim suffered minor burn injuries and was transported to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
The fire lasted for more than 90 minutes and spread to nearby apartment buildings. The authorities are currently investigating the cause of the fire.
