[07-13-2023] Sonoma County, CA – One Person Killed, Another Injured After Wrong-Way Collision near Geyserville

One person was killed, and another was injured after a fiery two-vehicle collision involving a wrong-way driver in Sonoma County on Thursday night, July 13, 2023.

The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office and Califonia Highway Patrol responded to the accident on U.S. Highway 101 near Geyserville around 9:45 p.m.

Approximately one mile north of Canyon Road, a driver traveling northbound in the southbound lanes collided with a vehicle.

There were two people trapped inside one of the vehicles. One was pronounced dead at the scene, and the other was airlifted to a hospital after sustaining significant injuries.

Authorities have not yet released the identities of the people involved in the accident as the investigation continues.
