Single-Vehicle Crash Statistics

Single-vehicle accidents in California result in an alarmingly high number of yearly fatalities.

In California, 62% of fatal car crashes are the result of single-vehicle collisions, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. If you drive in California, be aware of a number of potential accident causes.

A number of factors can bring on single-vehicle accidents. A runaway vehicle is also referred to as an off-the-road accident, and is more likely to occur when driving too fast or making sharp turns on a slippery road. Branches and other debris were thrown from passing trucks onto the road covered in it.

When a single-car collision is caused by something other than your or the other driver’s negligence, comprehensive insurance is more likely to cover the damages.

Sonoma County Car Accident Lawyers

Even though almost no one hurt in a car accident can go back to work or school, reckless driving is still a crime, even if it results in the death of another person. Accident victims whose deaths were brought on by another driver’s negligence may file a wrongful death claim against that reckless driver.

Testifying in court in front of a large audience can be difficult for victims who relive their past losses and sorrows. People’s mental health may suffer if legal matters go unresolved.

To hold a driver accountable for a car accident, swift action is required. Accountability is essential when negligence causes an excessively high death toll. Even though filing a wrongful death lawsuit can be demanding, families who have lost a loved one can benefit. The consequences of this choice will be felt very strongly by Californian drivers.
