[07-16-2022] San Diego County, CA- Person Killed in Fatal Two-Vehicle Crash on I-5

According to the California Highway Patrol, a person was killed in a two-car crash on Saturday, July 16, 2022.

According to authorities, the collision happened at southbound Interstate 5 through Camp Pendleton at 2:09 p.m.

According to the CHP, four or five vehicles were pulled over, and people attempted to assist the minivan driver. Traffic began to slow, and some vehicles used the right shoulder to exit the freeway and avoid collisions with other vehicles.

The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office was called to the scene at 3:57 p.m.
