[07-16-2023] Placer County, CA – One Minor Killed, Another Two Injured After Two-Vehicle Collision in Granite Bay

One minor was killed, and another two were injured after a two-vehicle collision in Placer County on Sunday afternoon, July 16, 2023.

The California Highway Patrol responded to the accident at around 5:45 p.m. on Barton Road and Douglas Boulevard.

No information was released about the cause of the accident, but it involved a red Jeep with three minor occupants and a black Escalade.

The Jeep driver and front passenger sustained minor injuries, while the rear passenger was killed. It appears that the driver of the Escalade is uninjured.

There have been no reports of the identity of those involved in the incident as the investigation continues.
