A vehicle in Rialto fatally struck a pedestrian on Thursday evening, July 20, 2023.
The Rialto Police Department responded to the accident near Cedar Avenue and Foothill Boulevard intersection around 11:30 p.m.
The cause of the accident is unknown. Despite being transported to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, the pedestrian died in the emergency room on Friday, July 21, 2023, at 12:05 a.m. It was unclear whether the vehicle’s driver stayed on the scene after the crash.
No details have been disclosed regarding the identities of the people involved. Authorities are still conducting their investigation.
