[07-21-2023] Kern County, CA – 1 Man Killed, 2 Women Injured Following Two-Vehicle Collision in Bakersfield

A man was killed, while two women were injured after a two-vehicle collision in Bakersfield on Friday morning, July 21, 2023.

According to the Bakersfield Police Department, the incident took place on Pacheco Road and Akers Road at around 12:10 a.m.

As the man and his female passenger traveled north on Akers Road, he collided with another car traveling west on Pacheco Road, occupied by two women. After losing control of his vehicle, he hit a fence, causing it to roll over, ejecting him and his passenger.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene, while his passenger was brought to a hospital and, fortunately, is expected to survive the ordeal. The other vehicle’s driver was uninjured. However, her passenger was hospitalized.

No information was released regarding the identities of the people involved, pending an investigation.
