[07-23-2022] Sacramento County, CA - 1 Pedestrian Dead, Two others Injured after Deadly Hit-And-Run Crash In SacramentoAccording to the police, a driver is under arrest after a hit-and-run crash in Sacramento County that left one pedestrian dead and two others injured on Saturday, July 23, 2022.

According to the authorities, the incident happened around 3 p.m. along Stockton Boulevard near McMahon Drive when a white Toyota Rav4 SUV was reportedly driving down Stockton Boulevard at a high rate of speed when it hit a sedan that was making a left turn to McMahon Drive.

The sedan struck three pedestrians on the sidewalk as a result of the accident. One pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene, and the other two were taken to the hospital with moderate to severe injuries.

The sedan’s driver suffered minor injuries. The 29-year-old driver then allegedly exited the SUV and fled. He was apprehended shortly before 6 p.m. CHP – South Sacramento reports that he was arrested and booked into the Sacramento Main Jail. His identity has not been made public.

Officers are still looking for the suspect, who was not hurt in the accident.
