[07-23-2022] San Diego County, CA- 2 Injured Following Two-Vehicle Collision in El CajonAccording to authorities, a woman suffered serious injuries, and another one was sent to a local hospital after a two-vehicle crash in unincorporated El Cajon on Saturday, July 23, 2022.

According to preliminary information, the two-vehicle collision occurred at 11:55 a.m. on Jamacha Road.

A Chevrolet reportedly collided with a Toyota for unknown reasons.

According to the officials, the female driver of the Toyota was attempting to turn from eastbound Jamacha Road onto a private road when another vehicle driven by a woman hit her.

The Toyota rolled as a result of the collision, trapping the driver. It took about 30 minutes for emergency crews to cut the roof off the Toyota and free the injured woman. She was immediately taken to Sharp Memorial Hospital.

One of the three occupants of the Chevrolet was transported to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries. Despite the medics’ recommendations, the other two refused to be transported.

The crash is still being investigated.
