[07-25-2023] Stanislaus County, CA – 60-Year-Old Man Killed in Two-Vehicle Rear-End Collision Near Patterson

A 60-year-old man was killed after a two-vehicle rear-end collision near Patterson on Tuesday evening, July 25, 2023.

The California Highway Patrol responded to the accident on Las Palmas Avenue, east of Sycamore Avenue, by 6:05 p.m.

In the westbound lane of Las Palmas Avenue, a white Toyota Camry was behind a pickup truck, which began slowing rapidly for an unknown reason.

As the Camry attempted to avoid the crash, its front bumper hit the truck’s back end. The pickup truck then went off the road and onto the dirt shoulder before it struck a tree.

No injuries were sustained by the 22-year-old female driver of the Camry in the crash. There has been no disclosure of their identities.

There was no evidence that alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. Investigators continue to work on the case.
