[07-26-2022] Riverside County, CA – 1 Fatality and 2 Injured in a Multi-Vehicle Collision in San Jacinto

On Tuesday morning, one fatality and two injuries were reported in a multi-vehicle collision on state Route 79 in San Jacinto.

The accident occurred on the southbound side of the road close to Gilman Springs Road at around 9 a.m.

The vehicle involved in the collision was a tractor-trailer and one of the vehicles overturned.

One person died at the scene, while the two others brought moderate and minor injuries to the hospital.

The highway was briefly closed and was reopened by 9:45 a.m.

There was no immediate availability of more information.
