[07-26-2023] Truck Crashing into Highway Sign on 14 Freeway in Lancaster Claimed Two LivesTwo people were killed when the truck went off and struck a freeway sign in Lancaster on Wednesday afternoon, July 26, 2023.

The California Highway Patrol responded to the northbound Antelope Valley Freeway, near West Avenue K, at around 3:30 p.m.

According to the CHP, the incident involved a work truck transporting scaffolding materials, which collided with the Avenue K freeway sign.

Tragically, the unidentified victims were pronounced dead at the scene

Additional information regarding the cause of the crash has not been promptly disclosed.
