A woman was killed in a head-on crash involving a Lexus and a Honda on Corby Avenue in Santa Rosa on Saturday, July 26, 2025.
According to the Santa Rosa Police Department, the crash occurred when the driver of a white Lexus SUV, traveling northbound in the 2800 block of Corby Avenue, allegedly failed to notice a red Toyota that had stopped to make a left turn into a driveway.
The Toyota driver, waiting for southbound traffic to clear, had their blinker on. The Lexus driver attempted to avoid rear-ending the Toyota by swerving into the southbound lane, side-swiping the Toyota before colliding head-on with a red Honda.
The driver of the Honda was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after emergency responders arrived. The Lexus and Toyota drivers were not injured.
The driver of the Lexus was cooperative with investigators. The cause of the crash remains under investigation, and it is unclear whether drugs or alcohol were factors.
