According to authorities, a person was killed while two people were critically injured, and two others received minor injuries after a fiery multi-vehicle crash in Riverside early Wednesday morning, July 27, 2022.
According to an eyewitness, the accident happened shortly after midnight on the 91 Freeway’s eastbound lanes between Van Buren Boulevard and Adams Street.
A vehicle is seen crashing into a wall near the freeway and bursting into flames in a video obtained by the eyewitness, David Pride.
According to authorities, the crash’s flames spread to nearby ivy that covered the sound wall.
After brush caught fire behind an apartment building, firefighters were dispatched to the 8700 block of Indiana Avenue.
According to fire officials, no structures were damaged, and no residents were displaced as a result of the building fire.
The cause of the crash is still being investigated.
