The California Highway Patrol reported the incident occurred at 8:12 p.m. on the eastbound Interstate 10 freeway at Waterman Avenue.

According to the report, the pedestrian, a resident of Riverside, was struck by an unspecified vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
