According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a man lying on the street was fatally struck by hit-and-run drivers in South Los Angeles Thursday, July 28, 2022.
The collision occurred at about 1:30 a.m. at Vernon and Towne avenues in Historic South-Central.
According to the LAPD, the victim, Eduardo T., was being pulled off the street by witnesses who had seen him lying in the intersection when he was struck by a dark pick-up truck.
The truck’s driver did not pull over.
Moments later, a second car allegedly ran over Trujillo, and the second driver allegedly did not stop to provide aid, according to the police.
At the scene, Trujillo was identified as deceased.
Anyone with information resulting in the capture and conviction of the hit-and-run drivers may be eligible for a reward of up to $50,000.
