[07-28-2022] Los Angeles County, CA – Single-Vehicle Crash Results to Injuries Including Two Juveniles [Update]

The officials have identified the name of the boy who was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Lancaster last July 28, 2022.

According to the Los Angeles County coroner’s office, the boy was identified as 12-year-old Lucas O. of Lancaster.
Before CHP units arrived, O’Dell lost consciousness, and a bystander performed CPR.

The boy was pronounced dead at the scene by Los Angeles County Fire Department units.

Both the driver and the second passenger, an 11-year-old boy, suffered moderate to major injuries and were airlifted to the hospital.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a child was killed in a single-vehicle crash in the area of Lancaster Thursday, July 28, 2022.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at about 11:55 a.m. near 300th Street West and state Route 138.

According to the CHP, a gray Ford F-250 carrying a driver and two children crashed nearby, rolled over multiple times, and finally came to rest on its roof, throwing both of the young passengers out of the car.

Before CHP units arrived, one of the kids passed out, and a bystander started performing CPR on the kid.

After being called to the scene, Los Angeles County Fire Department units declared the child dead.

The extent of the driver’s and the other child’s injuries was not immediately clear due to the collision.

Investigations into the crash’s cause are ongoing. The cause of the collision is still unknown.

No arrests were made immediately following the collision, according to the CHP.
