[07-28-2023] Fresno County, CA – Two Persons Injured Following Vehicle and Big Rig Collision on Highway 41

Two individuals were injured after a pick-up and a big rig truck collision in the south of Fresno on Friday morning, July 28, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Highway 41 at Adams Avenue near Easton around 6:30 a.m.

Based on the report, the pick-up driver driving west ran a red light and hit the big rig going south.

Both drivers were taken to the Community Regional Medical Center. The pick-up driver sustained major injuries after not wearing a seatbelt, while the big rig driver suffered minor injuries.

Both directions of the highway were closed for an hour.

The identities of the people involved have not been disclosed as the investigation continues.
