[07-29-2023] Monterey County, CA – Bicyclist Killed After Being Struck by Pickup Truck on San Miguel Canyon Road

A bicyclist was killed after being struck by a pickup truck in Monterey County on Saturday afternoon, July 29, 2023.

The California Highway Patrol responded to the accident on San Miguel Canyon Road at an unspecified time.

The bicycle and pickup truck were heading east when they collided for unknown reasons. It was discovered that the bicyclist had died at the scene. The condition of the pickup truck’s driver and whether he stayed at the scene are unknown.

There was no disclosure of the identities of the people involved. Alcohol and drugs do not appear to have played a role in the crash.
