[07-30-2023] Kern County, CA – 3 Young Bicyclists Injured Following Hit-And-Run Collision in Bakersfield

Three children in their bicycles were injured after a hit-and-run collision in Bakersfield on Sunday evening, July 30, 2023.

According to the Bakersfield Police Department, the incident occurred on the 2300 block of Planz Road, near Planz Elementary School, at around 9:00 p.m.

As the three children rode their bikes eastbound in the two-way left turn storage lane, a brown or gold possible Kia Forte struck them.

The children were injured, including one with life-threatening injuries and another with minor injuries. No information was released regarding the victim’s identities.
