[07-30-2023] San Bernardino County, CA – Tragic Plane Crash at Southern California Airport Claims Three Lives

Three people were killed after a small plane crashed into a hangar at Cable Airport in Upland on Sunday morning, July 30, 2023.

The San Bernardino County Fire Department reported that the incident occurred around 6:30 a.m. at Cable Airport, Southern California.

According to the Federal Aviation Administration, the aircraft was a single-engine Beechcraft P35.

Upon arrival at the scene, firefighters from the SBCFD found the plane fully engulfed in flames. There were concerns about potential exposure to the nearby hangar and a fuel truck.

The three individuals who lost their lives were the only passengers on board. As of now, the identities of the victims who lost their lives have not been publicly disclosed.

Officials described the damage to the hangar as moderate.

The Upland Police Department and the National Transportation Safety Board will investigate the cause of the crash.
