Single-Vehicle Crash Statistics

Many drivers are unaware that single-vehicle collisions are one of California’s most dangerous car collisions.

62 % of all fatal car accidents in California involve a single vehicle, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). Due to the high frequency of single-vehicle accidents in California, drivers must be aware of the various contributing factors.

Numerous factors can bring on a single-vehicle collision. A driver loses control of their car while speeding or making sudden turns on a slick, wet road, which results in a run-off-the-road collision. On the road, debris, such as a big branch or something that fell off a truck, can be seen.

Suppose a single-car collision is brought on by an event that is neither your fault nor the fault of another driver, like a deer darting in front of your car. In that case, your comprehensive coverage plan will probably place a cap on your recovery.

Riverside County Car Accident Lawyers

Many vehicle accident victims cannot resume their jobs or studies due to their injuries. Reckless driver is still accountable for their actions even if a victim passes away. The victim’s surviving family members may file wrongful death lawsuits against the driver who was negligently responsible for the victim’s passing (or legal heirs).

Experiencing their losses and grief again hurts them. In trials and depositions, victims are required to speak about their losses in front of strangers. A case’s resolution could take months or even years, which could have a negative effect on someone’s mental health.

If a driver causes an accident, it is imperative to hold them accountable. Accountability is essential when carelessness leads to an excessive death toll. Wrongful death lawsuits can be emotionally taxing for grieving families, but they can also bring them closure. Every driver in California will profit from this.
