[08-01-2023] 62-Year-Old Man Killed Following Hit-And-Run Collision Due to Road Rage in CarmelJames P., a 62-year-old resident of Carmel, was killed after a rollover hit-and-run collision caused by road rage in Carmel on Tuesday, August 1, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred on the southbound lanes of Highway 1 and Aguajito Road.

The victim was driving his 1988 Volkswagen van on the highway when another vehicle struck him, causing his van to roll over multiple times before stopping in the fast lane. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators from the CHP identified the suspects as Nicholas K., 32, of Monterey, and Jenny L., 45, of Carmel Valley.

Various charges were filed against Jenny L., including manslaughter, hit-and-run, assault, and more, while Nicholas K. was arrested on felony hit-and-run charges.
