Two people were killed after a fiery single-engine plane crash in Los Angeles on Wednesday morning, August 2, 2023.

The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the accident in the 16300 block of Waterman Drive at around 10:37 a.m.

The CSA SportCruiser caught fire after crashing at Van Nuys Airport with two passengers on board. The flames were extinguished quickly, but both passengers were found fatally injured.

The identities of the victims were not disclosed. It is unknown whether the small plane was landing or taking off when the crash happened. There are no further details available.
