[08-03-2023] San Bernardino County, CA – 40-Year-Old Male Street Food Vendor Hospitalized After Hit-and-Run Collision in Fontana

A 40-year-old male street vendor was hospitalized following a hit-and-run collision in Fontana on Thursday evening, August 3, 2023.

According to the report, the incident occurred near Arrow Route and Hemlock Avenue around 9:10 p.m.

Yasmini C. was crossing the road with his food cart when a driver struck him and fled the scene.

The victim sustained severe head, leg, and ear injuries in the collision. Yasmini survived the ordeal with the help of two good samaritans, Adrian G. and Mikaela M., who witnessed the incident.

The couple helped move the man from the middle of the road to the side. The crash completely destroyed the victim’s corn and shaved ice food cart. After waking up in the hospital, the victim has no memory of what happened.

Yasmini is recovering at home but is still unable to walk due to feeling sharp pains around his body whenever he tries to move.
