Fatal Single-Vehicle Crash Statistics
It is not common knowledge among drivers in California that accidents involving a single vehicle are among the deadliest that can occur on the highway.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) estimates that most fatal car accidents in California are caused by incidents involving a single vehicle. Drivers in California need to be aware of the numerous factors contributing to the state’s high rate of accidents involving a single vehicle.
A variety of causes can contribute to a collision involving a single vehicle. When a driver takes risks like speeding or making sharp turns on a slippery road, they increase the likelihood of their vehicle veering off the road, also referred to as a runaway vehicle. The road is littered with branches and other debris, many of which were knocked over by passing trucks.
Suppose there is a collision involving only one vehicle and neither you nor the other driver was at fault. In that case, the comprehensive portion of your auto insurance policy will likely pay out less.
Glenn County Car Accident Lawyers
Most accident victims cannot return to their jobs or places of higher education. Driving recklessly is still regarded as a crime even when it kills someone else. Wrongful death lawsuits against the negligent driver who killed the victims may be filed by the victims or the beneficiaries of their estates.
It hurts to recall their losses and grieving experiences. During depositions and court proceedings, victims must speak in front of strangers about their losses. Delays in legal matters being resolved may have an adverse effect on someone’s mental health.
Holding the driver responsible for a car accident necessitates swift action. It is necessary to address the significant number of fatalities caused by inattention. It can be difficult to pursue a wrongful death claim, but it can also help grieving families cope with losing a loved one. This change will have a significant impact on drivers in California.
