[08-07-2026] Orange County, CA – Pedestrian Killed After Being Struck By Vehicle in Santa Ana

A 38-year-old man was killed after being struck by a vehicle while crossing Harbor Boulevard in Santa Ana on Friday evening, August 7, 2026.

According to the Santa Ana Police Department, officers received multiple reports of a pedestrian being struck near the 200 block of North Harbor Boulevard around 7:50 p.m.

Officers and Orange County Fire Authority personnel responded and found the man in the roadway with significant injuries.

A preliminary investigation indicated that the pedestrian was crossing Harbor Boulevard outside a marked crosswalk when he was struck by a northbound vehicle. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His identity has not been released pending notification of next of kin.

The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Police said the driver did not appear to be impaired.

The investigation remains ongoing.
