A bike rider was killed in Huntington Beach after a bicycle crash on Tuesday evening, August 9, 2022.
The crash occurred at around 6 p.m. north of the Pacific Coast Highway in the southbound lanes of the highway, north of Admiralty Drive.
The RAV4 struck the bicyclist, causing the bike rider to pass away after being taken to the hospital.
According to the police, they identified Barbara F., a Huntington resident and the driver of the black 2018 Toyota RAV4.
Front was detained on suspicion of DUI while she was still on the scene.
The Multidisciplinary Accident Investigation Team of the department is in charge of the ongoing investigation into the collision.
