At least one person was injured after a collision involving four vehicles in San Diego on Wednesday morning, August 9, 2023.
The California Highway Patrol responded to the accident on the southbound Interstate 5 and E Street on-ramp around 8:52 a.m.
A Toyota Prius crashed into a KIA after cutting in too close, causing a series of collisions. The female driver of the KIA then collided with a Chevrolet Malibu. Two of the vehicles then collided with an on-ramp and a freeway sign. Then, one of these vehicles collided with an oncoming Toyota pickup truck.
No one was hospitalized despite minor injuries sustained by several drivers. It was not disclosed what their names were. No details were released on the total number of people injured.
The investigation into the crash continues.
