[08-11-2023] San Diego County, CA – 47-Year-Old Pedestrian Killed After Being Run Over by Vehicle in East Village

A 47-year-old pedestrian was killed after being run over by a vehicle in East Village, San Diego, on Friday afternoon, August 11, 2023.

According to the San Diego Police Department, the fatal crash happened around 8:36 p.m. in a driveway located in the 1000 block of Park Boulevard.

The 47-year-old homeless man was walking along the street when he stumbled and fell down in a garage’s driveway, where a 1999 Toyota Camry driver ran him over.

The victim suffered major internal injuries and was transported to a local hospital, where he was declared dead.

The 38-year-old driver reportedly did not see the pedestrian as he was making a right turn into the parking garage.

The authorities are currently conducting an investigation into the fatal crash.
