[08-14-2022] San Bernardino County, CA- Man in Wheelchair Fatally Struck by a Hit-and-Run Drivers in San BernardinoAccording to San Bernardino Police, a man in a wheelchair was left dead at the scene after being fatally struck by two potential moving automobiles in San Bernardino on Sunday, August 14, 2022.

According to authorities, the crash happened early on Sunday morning, around 4:35 a.m., close to Highland Avenue and Cedar Street, according to San Bernardino police. James Gatson, 43, was struck by potentially two moving automobiles that did not stop as he crossed East Highland Avenue in his wheelchair outside a crosswalk.

At the site, Gatson’s death was confirmed. Authorities claim that he was homeless and lived in the park directly across from the location of his tragic collision. His sibling confirmed that he had multiple sclerosis.

To identify the car involved in the collision, investigators searched for surveillance footage from the area.

By erecting a sizable wooden sign with the words “Help me find my [brother’s] killers” close to the Perris Hill Tennis Center, Lester begged the public’s assistance in identifying the vehicle or drivers who killed his brother.

Under the enormous wooden sign, a monument was erected by family and friends.
