[08-14-2023] At Least One Person Injured Following Four-Vehicle Crash Involving Big Rig in EmeryvilleAt least one person was injured following a collision between four vehicles, including a big rig, in Emeryville on Monday evening, August 14, 2023.

The California Highway Patrol responded to the accident on Interstate 80 near Powell Street at an unspecified time.

The cause of the crash is unclear, but three other vehicles were involved, aside from a big rig that struck the center divider. The big rig leaked at least 20 gallons of gas onto the highway. There were no drains that were affected.

It was unknown which vehicle the injured driver was in, but they sustained substantial injuries. The identities of those involved in the crash were not released.

Authorities continue to investigate the crash.
