[08-14-2023] San Bernardino County, CA – One Person Killed, Two Others Injured After Head-On Two-Vehicle Collision in Victorville

One person was killed, while two others were injured after a head-on collision involving two vehicles in Victorville on Monday morning, August 14, 2023.

The Victorville Fire Department responded to the accident between Amethyst Road and Wagon Wheel Drive around 2:34 a.m.

A white sedan and a dark-colored Toyota minivan collided head-on. There was significant front-end damage on both vehicles, which blocked eastbound lanes.

There was one death at the scene due to injuries sustained. A total of two additional patients were airlifted to trauma centers outside of the area. Their identities were not disclosed.

La Mesa Road between Pacoima and Amethyst was closed at 6:30 a.m.

As soon as more information is available, the Victorville Police Department will provide an update on the cause of the collision.
