Multi-Vehicle Crash Statistics

A recent National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) analysis found that more than 13,000 fatalities—or more than 40% of all motor vehicle accidents yearly—occurred in multi-vehicle incidents involving passenger vehicles.

According to the NHTSA, there are about two million multi-vehicle crashes annually. This amounts to roughly one-third of the total accidents that occur each year.

These collisions frequently occur on roads when hundreds of vehicles are traveling side by side at high speeds. Due to this, it may be difficult for many drivers approaching an accident to stop at a safe distance, which may result in collisions with other vehicles.

Tulare County Multi-vehicle Crash Lawyers

In crowded crossroads or on highways, multi-vehicle accidents are more frequent. These collisions are frequently the result of careless drivers who are distracted, speeding, inclement weather, sleepy, or intoxicated.

It becomes challenging to file a claim after this kind of incident. This is because several vehicles are involved, making assessing culpability more difficult. Due to several victims, numerous negligent drivers, cross-claims, and insufficient insurance, multi-vehicle crash claims are more complicated.
