The crash transpired around 6:15 a.m. on Highway 101 near the Santa Maria River Bridge.
The collision involves at least three cars blocking all lanes. Tow trucks and emergency responders have made it to the scene, but the traffic backup stretches back to Stowell Road.
Reports on how many injuries have not been made clear yet. Vehicle specifics have not been released yet.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
