[08-17-2023] Los Angeles County, CA – 1 Person Killed Following Two-Vehicle Collision Involving Big Rig Near San Fernando

A person was killed after a two-vehicle collision involving a big rig near San Fernando on Thursday morning, August 17, 2023.

According to California Highway Patrol Officer Sean L., the incident occurred on the westbound lanes of Foothill Freeway and the Hubbard Street exit at around 3:58 a.m.

A vehicle was reported to have rear-ended the back of a semi-truck at unknown speeds. An investigation is underway to determine what caused the crash.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

It is unclear whether drugs or alcohol were a factor in this incident.

No information was released regarding the victim’s identity.
