[08-17-2023] Sacramento County, CA – One Person Killed, Another Injured After Wrong-Way Rollover Collision on Twin Cities Road

One person was killed, while another was injured after a head-on rollover collision in Sacramento County on Thursday morning, August 17, 2023.

The California Highway Patrol responded to the accident around 5:18 a.m. on Twin Cities Road near Clay Station Road.

A 2002 Honda Civic was moving at high speed in the east, crossing double yellow lines and swerving into a curve in the opposite direction. The 2016 Dodge Ram was also moving in the same direction—west. After that, Dodge and Honda collided head-on, resulting in a rollover.

Upon arriving at the scene, the 53-year-old driver of the Honda succumbed to his injuries. Despite complaining of back pain, the 35-year-old Dodge driver refused further medical treatment.

No further information was available about the crash.

According to the preliminary investigation, alcohol and drugs did not play a role in the collision.
