[08-19-2022] Los Angeles County, CA - Two People Killed, One Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash in South Los AngelesAccording to the authorities, two people were killed, and another person was injured after a multi-vehicle collision in South Los Angeles early Friday morning, August 19, 2022.

The crash transpired just before 4:15 a.m. at the intersection of S. Broadway and Manchester Avenue in South LA’s Florence neighborhood.

According to reports, the Los Angeles Police Department saw a Cadillac’s driver speeding. When they attempted to stop him, the suspect allegedly drove so quickly that the officers had to back up.

A short while later, the suspect struck a BMW, starting a chain reaction in which two other cars were also involved.

Authorities pronounced the young couple in the BMW, who were in their 30s, dead at the scene. The semi-driver also sustained injuries in the collision.

The victims’ names have not been made public. The suspect was taken into police custody and is in his early 20s.

Investigations into the crash’s cause are ongoing.
