[08-19-2023] 65-Year-Old Male Pedestrian Hospitalized After Hit-and-Run Collision on Santa Rosa StreetA 65-year-old male pedestrian was hospitalized following a hit-and-run collision in San Luis Obispo on Saturday night, August 19, 2023.

According to the San Luis Obispo Police Department, the incident occurred at the intersection of Santa Rosa Sreet and Higuera Street at around 11:30 p.m.

Upon arriving at the scene, authorities discovered the man on the road with signs of being struck by a vehicle. A group of concerned citizens blocked the roadway to protect the victim.  The suspect and their vehicle were nowhere to be found.

The victim sustained critical injuries and was hospitalized. The victim’s identity is being withheld pending the results of the investigation.
