[08-23-2023] San Diego County, CA – 1 Person Hospitalized Following Four-Vehicle Collision on Interstate 805

A person was hospitalized after a four-vehicle collision in San Diego on Wednesday morning, August 23, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred on the northbound lanes of Interstate 805, south of El Cajon Boulevard, at around 6:43 a.m.

It was reported that the accident slowed traffic on the interstate for about 30 minutes until 7:15 a.m. After all the vehicles involved were towed away, the lanes were reopened. The cause of the crash is under investigation.

The victim was transported to a hospital with unspecified injuries.

It is unclear whether drugs or alcohol were a factor in the collision.
