A baby was severely injured in a two-vehicle collision in central Bakersfield on Sunday night, August 24, 2025.

According to the Bakersfield Police Department, the crash was reported at around 7:31 p.m. at the intersection of 8th Street and T Street.

Authorities said the collision involved a red pickup and a silver sedan. A baby riding in the sedan suffered severe injuries and was transported to a hospital. No other passengers were involved, and both drivers declined medical treatment at the scene.
