A male pedestrian was hospitalized after a train collision in Downtown Fresno on Friday morning, August 25, 2023.
According to the Fresno Police Department, the incident occurred in the area of Monterey and H Street at around 3:00 a.m.
The authorities responded to a report of a pedestrian struck by a train, but they had difficulty finding the victim because there were trains still occupying three of the four tracks.
The officers eventually located and communicated with the man, who was still breathing. Officials said the victim was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
No further details was released and the victim’s identity is being withheld pending an investigation.
