Single-Vehicle Crash Statistics

Drivers do not know that single-vehicle collisions are among the deadliest on Californian roads.

62% of all fatal car accidents in California involve just one vehicle, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

Single-vehicle accidents are common in California, so drivers must know all potential causes.

There are numerous potential causes of a single-vehicle collision. Single-car accidents on icy or wet roads are frequent when a driver loses control of their car while driving too fast or making sudden turns. Large branches and truck bed debris are two additional types of typical roadside litter.

Suppose the accident was caused by an unforeseen circumstance, such as a dart in front of your car. In that case, your comprehensive coverage plan will likely have its limits under your insurance policy.

San Diego County Car Accident Lawyers

Many car accident victims cannot return to their jobs or schools because of their injuries. Another driver is still responsible for their actions when someone dies due to carelessness. The victim’s surviving family members may bring a wrongful death claim against the motorist whose negligence resulted in the victim’s passing (or legal heirs).

They experience the pain of their losses and grief as they relive those events. Victims are required to testify about their failures to strangers in depositions and trials. The strain of a protracted legal dispute can harm one’s mental well-being.

When negligent drivers cause an accident, they must be held accountable. Accountability is essential when negligence has led to an excessively high death toll. Wrongful death lawsuits can be emotionally taxing, but they can also give the families of the deceased some closure. Every California driver will gain from this.
