[08-27-2023] Los Angeles County, CA – One Killed, Another Hospitalized After Two-Vehicle Hit-And-Run Crash Along West Adams Blvd.

One person was killed, and another was hospitalized after a two-vehicle hit-and-run crash in South Los Angeles on Sunday morning, August 27, 2023.

Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department arrived at the scene after reports of the crash occurred at around 1:00 a.m. along the area of West Adams Boulevard and Arlington Avenue.

The authorities stated that there were two vehicles involved, both of which were traveling eastbound and southbound toward Arlington. The vehicle heading southbound was driven by the 17-year-old, while one male and two females occupied the eastbound vehicle.

Officials said that three occupants of the eastbound vehicle immediately fled the scene after the incident. Officers added that the 17-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene, while the 20-year-old passenger with the driver was rushed to the hospital with unspecified conditions.

No further details were released, and it is unknown whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision.
