[08-28-2022] 43-Year-Old Pedestrian Woman Fatally Struck by SUV in AnaheimAccording to the police, a 43-year-old homeless pedestrian woman and her dog were struck and killed by an SUV in Anaheim Sunday, August 28, 2022.

According to Anaheim police Sgt. Shane Carringer, officers were sent at about 9:25 p.m. to Euclid Street near Cris Avenue.

Officers found a 43-year-old woman with serious injuries and a dead dog in the southbound lanes of Euclid Street when they arrived.

The woman on foot was taken to a nearby trauma center. But it was said that she was dead.

No information was available right away about who she was. Carringer said that the 22-year-old driver of the Dodge SUV stayed at the scene.

It didn’t look like the driver had been drinking or taking drugs.

The cause of the accident is still being looked into.
