[08-28-2023] Alameda County, CA – Male Teen Pedestrian Injured Following Car Collision Involving Bank Robbers in San Lorenzo

A male teenage pedestrian was injured after a bank robber’s getaway vehicle struck him in San Lorenzo, Alameda County, on Monday afternoon, August 28, 2023.

According to the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred at the intersection of Via Granada and Via Cordoba at around 3:45 p.m.

Officers were responding to a 911 call reporting that a Citibank was being robbed. The bank robber passed a note to the teller threatening to blow up the bank if they did not give them $20,0000.

The robber fled the bank empty-handed. A chase ensued between the robbers and the police. The teenage boy was struck at a nearby intersection. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

No information was released regarding the victim’s identity, pending an investigation.
